Once an unwilling servant to a monster, Amalina now finds several good reasons to stay in his service, no matter his plans:

 

- to protect the lives of seven innocent young princesses while they visit the castle;

 

- to discover the identity of a vicious murderer and put him out of action before he can strike again;

 

- but even more compelling, to hide from a terrifying entity, much more powerful than her master, who seems to be hunting her down.
